My Solution!

I have thought long and hard about this opportunity since it is a constant issue in my own life and I have finally come up with an idea. To recap, my issue lies when it is raining when I want to take my puppy to the dog park. When it's raining, I can't take him for fear of him getting gross or even sick, so I always opt to just stay home. Well, my idea involves creating an indoor dog park! It would have all the great aspects of outdoor parks including, large open areas to run around, separated areas for smaller dogs, splash zones for water-loving dogs, and even fun obstacles for the dogs to play on but the best part... it would be inside! That way, no matter the weather outside, whether it's raining, snowing, a hundred degrees, or zero degrees, the dogs can play in total happiness and their owners can observe and enjoy in comfort.

  1. Good evening Leah,
This is such a good solution to the problem especially here in Florida where it is often too hot or raining. Would you offer memberships or would it be a flat fee to get in? I assume there would need to be staff to keep the park clean and if so that would also be a great selling point to customers because most outdoor dog parks are not.

  2. Hey Leah,

I think that this is a marvelous idea! Its basically like a 'gym' for dogs instead of people. I think you've hit a real goldmine with this idea. As Faith asked above, how do you plan on charging people for entrance? Would you offer 'family' plans for owners with multiple dogs? And would this be a 24/7 facility?

  3. Hi Leah!
I think your idea of an indoor dog park is a great one! It may be a bit tricky to get to the dog park if the weather is bad but once your there you don't have to worry about that. As always, I think it would be a good idea to accommodate to handicapped individuals who would also like to play with their beloved dog. So ramps, braille, accessible bathrooms would be good to include !
