My Entrepreneurship Story

I have very recently started my own journey as an entrepreneur with my self-run business of walking dogs. I realized there was a large number of people that needed help taking care of their dogs while at work, at school, or even traveling. I decided this would be a great way for me to do something I love, spend time with dogs, while also helping people, the owners that need assistance, while even making a little bit of money. At first, I started by walking one dog every couple of weeks. Then, it accelerated to walking a dog or two every week. Now, I am at today, where I walk a few dogs every week with one being walked every weekday. I have many recurring clients and even a few clients I walk quite regularly.
I enrolled in ENT3003 because I have had such a great time in my short time of being an entrepreneur, and I want to continue the amazing experience I am having. I also would love to be able to take whatever I learn in this course, and apply it to not only my dog walking business, but also any opportunities I may come across or create in the future. I hope to learn a lot of valuable information in this class and be able to use that knowledge I gain in all of my future entrepreneurship endeavors to come.

Below is (on the left) a picture of (from left to right) one of my clients, me, and my puppy, and (on the right) a hilarious blooper from our photo shoot that is sure to brighten your day.

  2. Hey Leah!

You have such a cool entrepreneurship story! Ive heard of dog walkers but never considered doing it myself. It seems like such a great way to make a little but of cash while spending time with adorable dogs You truly found an unmet need in the market and had the courage to start your own business to fulfill that need. Hopefully, what we learn in this class can accelerate what you have already created or help you start something new !

I think its even more great that you choose to do something that you are passionate about and not just about meeting an unmet need.
